Check if a UK Company Can Sponsor Your Visa

Enter a company name to check it against the published UK Register of Licensed Sponsors and see whether it can sponsor a work visa.

Frequently asked questions

What does "licensed sponsor" mean?

A licensed sponsor is a UK employer that the Home Office has approved to sponsor overseas workers, for example on the Skilled Worker route. Only these employers can assign a Certificate of Sponsorship, which you need for most work visas.

Where does this data come from?

We check the published UK Register of Licensed Sponsors, the official list maintained by the Home Office. Always verify a company on gov.uk before relying on the result, as the register changes over time.

The company is not showing up. Why?

Company names on the register vary, so try the full legal entity name (for example the registered "Ltd" or "Group" name). A company may also be missing simply because it does not currently hold a sponsor licence.

Does being on the register guarantee a job will sponsor me?

No. It confirms the employer holds a licence and can sponsor workers, but each individual role and offer is at the employer's discretion. Always confirm sponsorship for a specific job before you apply.
